Ponty Town v Llanwern

March 12th, 2009 [ Sports ]

It was another one of those unlucky day for Ponty. It looks very promising and they were leading 2-1 up at half time. Everything seems to go their way with some brilliant attacking and defending. But luck was just not on their side again when Llanwern equalized in the second half. Considering their difference in the table standing, I have to say, the boys have put up quite a fight. Better luck next time Ponty! Here’s a few of my faves:

Pontypridd Town FC v Garw FC

March 4th, 2009 [ Sports ]

Although I must admit that sports and weddings will never go well together, as a photographer the way I see and think are almost the same in both events - FAST! understanding the game will certainly help you a lot in capturing that priceless moment or action. Knowing the players and predicting where the ball will hit or fall helps a lot too. But like ZAINAL use to say, the action will come in due time. So its shoot, shoot and shoot more for me. These are some of my faves from last weeks game. It was a cloudy day and I had too shoot at ISO 1600.

not a lot of action but I just love the expression on the their faces.

Glory! jubilation! I’m the man!.. you can almost feel his excitement.

Not so much of an action shot but I like the way how almost everything froze in the air.

the floating shot

Look at that face!

One tight crop to give more impact

Half Time Portraiture

March 1st, 2009 [ Sports ]

Today I went to cover Pontypridd Town FC at Ynysangharad Park for their home game agaisnt Garw FC. Just like the forecast - it was 9°C and Cloudy. Ponty only managed a 2-2 draw this time, well actually they should have won but wasted a Penalty shoot in the second half. I’ve just finish editing all the pics and it’s now 4.15am and I got a London train to catch at 10am tomorrow in Cardiff Central..I’ll post them later promise. I really need to hit the bed now but I’ll show 2 shots i did during half time. Good nite!

nice chap..he’s the guy behind the scene, very friendly - can’t remember his name yet though.

One of the Junior Dragons..Ponty under 12 squad cum ball boy on every home game. (Arsenal Fan..Yay!)
